This cocktail series has been about mixing old favorites with new flavors. I knew I wanted to do a variation on the whiskey sour but I wasn't quite sure what my plan of attack would be. A little digging in my cabinets to see what I already had let to finding the maple syrup that is seemingly never used in my household. Enough about my fridge situation (thank god for Postmates am I right?). Let's get to what you really want to know: how to make the drink!
2 oz Maple Syrup
3 pieces of Fresh Thyme
3 shots Whiskey
1/2 fresh lemon - squeezed
In a shaker with ice add maple syrup, thyme, whiskey, and lemon juice. Shake well and strain into a glass. Add a piece of thyme as garnish
