I have a thing for margaritas. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's that my favorite type of food is mexican food and if I can't have the whole shebang I am fine settling for a margarita. However, contrary to belief it is pretty easy to mess us a margarita. Many restaurants can mix a margarita that has you feeling the hangover at one sip. I aim to keep my margarita a little bit lighter. Fresh lime juice is definitely the number one way to do that. When playing around with holiday flavors that are a little more savory it can be a tad bit more difficult but I am always up for a challenge!
Ingredients (makes 1)
4 shots Lairds Apple Jack
4 shots Tequila
1 lime wedge
4 oz Apple Cider
Cinnamon sugar mixture for rim (optional)
Pour all ingredients into a blender with ice and blend well. Rim your glass with the cinnamon sugar mixture and pour in margarita.
Hopefully this margarita hit the spit for you like it did for me!
