When I first started exploring the world of drinking I remember my friend ordering me an amaretto sour. I finally grew out of the sweetness that is an amaretto sour, but I did continue to enjoy amaretto and continuously look for ways to include amaretto in my cocktails. So, when I first tried crafting this cocktails I was using a cinnamon vodka with champagne and all but spit it out. It was then that I thought I'd give amaretto a try and I am upset I haven't tried this before. A little goes a long way and adds a great nutty taste to the champagne.... which might just be why I have a love affair with that almond champagne from Coopers Hawk.
2 oz amaretto
Pour amaretto into champagne flute and top with champagne!
