Hi everyone! My name is Katie Clemins, the lady behind

I am very excited to be sharing a taste of Wisconsin with you today!
When deciding which drink to share with you, I wanted to pick something that truly represented Wisconsin. When I travel out of state, I notice how there is always one drink that bartenders struggle to master.
Although Wisconsin is known for the Bloody Mary and cheese, there is one drink that only a Wisconsinite can master:
The Brandy Old Fashioned
Here in Wisconsin, we make the drink the right way! So set aside your mixer, here's what you will need:
1 sugar cube or 1 tsp 2:1 simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 orange wedge
1 cherry, preferably Amarena or Maraska
2 oz Korbel Brandy
Preferred amount of 7Up or Squirt
Traditionally, you can have a Brandy Old Fashioned sour or sweet. I like my sweet so I went with 7Up. If you are unsure of your taste buds, try both!
Start by combining the sugar cube, orange slice, bitters, and cherry into the cup.
Muddle together these ingredients, trying to avoid the orange peel:
Next, add your Korbel Brandy or Brandy of choice. I like to add my ice next, because once you put in the soda of choice, it can water down the flavor of the drink. So, ice then soda!
Finally, you add a little garnishment!
Grab your drink and head over to
for some quality fashion time!
