A Smoky & Spicy Margarita

I might have a bit of an obsession with margaritas. I don't know what it is about them and when made right you can't go wrong (yes, it is EASY to mess up a marg). 

So today we bring you

a smoky and spicy margarita. 

AKA 

the Samogon margarita!

So, here's what we're working with. 

Margarita Mix

(I prefer this Tres Agaves organic)

Samogon

(it's considered a Russian moonshine)

At least one

Jalapeno 

A few

fresh limes

So why am I making a margarita with a Russian moonshine? 

The other weekend I was at the liquor store and they had a few tasting through the store (think Costco but all wine, beer, and liquor). They had this right by the check out and when I tried it I was overwhelmed by the delicious smoky flavor. I immediately had a flash back to a Jalapeno margarita I'd once had in D.C. and thought - this would be an amazing substitute for tequila in that cocktail. 

So I made it happen. And now, I'm sharing it with you!

I personally made my cocktail with these measurements:

1.5 shots of Samogon

(I let the Samogon and the jalapenos marinate for about 20 minutes)

3/4 a shot of margarita mix

1/2 of a lime

(fresh lime juice, YUM!)

Shake, pour, enjoy. 

Now, put those purses down & bottoms
