Today we bring to you a very delicious holiday cocktail.
The Gingerbread Cookie Martini.
or as I like to call it: Childhood in a Glass.
There are many times as adults that we forgot to embrace our inner child. The holidays shouldn't be like that. Just about anything can be made into a delicious adult cocktail these days. So, why not kick off your holiday party with a Gingerbread Cookie Martini.
First things first! You are going to want to make sure you can find some gingerbread syrup. Some say you can find it in the coffee aisle but I had no luck with that. If you fall short on that you can easily make it yourself:
~ 1/2 cup of water
~ 1/2 cup brown sugar
~ 4 tsp. molasses
~ 1 tsp. ground ginger
~ 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Cook in a small saucepan for about 5 minutes on medium heat!
Now, time for the important part:
~ 2 oz vanilla vodka
(regular vodka is fine here too)
~ 1.5 oz Kahlua
~ 1.5 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
~ 3 tbs. gingerbread syrup
(or as much as your heart desires)
~ 2.5 oz of half and half
~ gingerbread cookies for the rim and garnish
~ whipped cream
As any good martini, this one will knock you off your feet if you aren't ready for it. Put all the ingredients in a shaker and shake well. Then, shake a little more.
And then it's time to enjoy.

//I did not make mine with half and half because I made it to taste and did not feel the need for it. But, the half and half is a good addition if you want to take away a little bit of the alcohol kick the drink gives you! I also used regular vodka because I didn't feel the need to add anything else as sweet!//
