I am surprised at how difficult it is to finish one book in a month. It shouldn't be this difficult, but somehow I can't find the time to sit down and read a book. However, I am still determined to read at least 1 book a month. So, I guess I will have to find a few ways to make time for this goal. This month I read the book Naked by David Sedaris. It's a book about Sedaris' life in short, funny essays. The book is odd, humorous and worthy of a chuckle or two. David writes with an unapologetic voice and gives you a thing or two to think about. However funny this book may or may not be to some, there is a very dark and sad tide that runs strong through the book. I know I have been one to use humor to hide from deeper emotions but David does so in a way that makes your stomach sink and heart ache. For this reason, it's definitely not my favorite on my 2016 reading list. Maybe my June book will be a little more light-hearted. I'm trying to find Andi Dorfman's new book, which I'm hoping will do the trick!
