Ginger Lemonade with Souza 901

There's something about sipping on a blended drink that takes my mind into a summer bliss. While the weather in Kansas City has been hot and cold – literally – so the only summer dreams are going to be in my head for a bit longer. A girl can turn on some beach music, put on her favorite bathing suit, mix up a frothy cocktail and dream, right? Don't you say no!

A bit ago I made a drink similar to this from a recipe in a book called the Coconut Limeade. I started to think of how I could change up this recipe with a few different ingredients. After a few failed attempts I finally landed on one I wanted to share with you guys! Featuring one of my favorite ingredients: ginger.

Let's chat about this tequila for a second. One of their brand reps reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try it. Since I'm an equal liquor opportunity household I, of course, said yes. I was a little skeptical of the brand at first. Wondering how a Justin Timberlake tequila would stand the test of time. I am a huge tequila connoisseur but I had my friend help me test this one out! I am a fan! It's smooth and delicious. It doesn't taste cheap like other tequilas and it mixes incredibly well in odd cocktails.

I did receive this product in exchange for a post but all opinions are my own!

Ingredients

2 cups coconut milk

2 cups of ice

1 cup lemon juice

3 tablespoons coconut nectar

6 liberal slices of peeled ginger.

1.75-2 oz Souza 901 tequila per serving

Method

Add all ingredients, except the Souza 901 tequila, to your blender. Blend well and pour into a cocktail glass. Add tequila, stir and enjoy!

You could easily create both if you were hosting a pool party! Which is 100% on my summer bucket list.

Cheers!

Jacque
