Margarita Bar for Cinco De Mayo

I know you all might be getting annoyed with my fake holiday creations. Like the jelly bean sparkler for National Jelly Bean Day. But today's post is an ode to a very real holiday. At least there's a little balance, eh? Cinco De Mayo is always a fun holiday. Enjoy a great cocktail while enjoying tacos and queso and laughing with friends? Yes, please! If you are throwing a party this year might I suggest making a margarita bar. It's easy to set up and your friends will be impressed and have fun mixing up their own margs. I'm starting you off with four fun recipes to get your creative mixing brain turning. There's a round-up of 40 total Cinco De Mayo recipes for you to enjoy at the bottom of the post! 

You'll need tequila, fresh lime juice (a lot of it), fresh fruit (just about anything you can muddle and then some), coconut milk and limes. 

Jalapeno Strawberry Margarita

1.5 oz tequila

1 - 2 fresh strawberries

2-3 jalapeno slices

4 oz lime juice

Method

Muddle your strawberries and jalapenos together. Add tequila and lime juice to your glass. Shake well with ice and enjoy. 

Classic Margarita

1.5 oz tequila

4 oz lime juice

Method

Add tequila and lime juice to your glass. Shake well with ice and enjoy. 

Sparkling Blueberry Margarita

1.5 oz tequila

4-6 fresh blueberries

4 oz lime juice

3 oz champagne

Method

Muddle your blueberries and then add tequila and lime juice to your glass. Shake well with ice. Top with champagne and enjoy

Strawberry Coconut Margarita

1.5 oz tequil

1 - 2 fresh strawberries

1 oz lime juice

4 oz coconut milk

Method

Muddle your strawberries well. Add tequila, lime juice and coconut milk to your class. Shake well with ice and enjoy.
